Meta Gaming
Meta gaming is the act of using Out-of-Character (OOC) information for In-Character (IC) advantage or decision-making. Even if the information does not give you a clear advantage, mixing OOC and IC knowledge is still considered meta gaming and is strictly prohibited.
Only use information your character has obtained through legitimate in-character means.
This includes, but is not limited to, information gained from:
Discord messages or voice chats
Twitch or YouTube streams
OOC Chat (in-game or external)
Third-party apps or overlays
Radio & Scanner Meta: All police radio channels are encrypted. The following are considered meta gaming unless you are a whitelisted LEO actively playing your assigned LEO character:
Sitting in RTO (radio comms) to gather information
Responding to 911 calls without IC knowledge
Accessing police menus, blips, or alerts while “clocked in” or through in-game bugs/exploits
Example of Meta Gaming:
Subject A watches Subject B’s Twitch stream to find their location in-game, then goes to that location to kill them.
Illegitimate Fleeing & Forced Justifications
Fleeing from law enforcement immediately after a priority cooldown expires, without a valid in-character reason, is not allowed. This includes intentionally provoking pursuits just because the cooldown ended.
Valid Reason to Flee: Your character is actively engaged in criminal activity (e.g., driving a stolen car, drug trafficking, illegal weapons possession) and wants to avoid arrest.
Invalid Example: Claiming your character has 500 pounds of cocaine in the trunk using /do or /me just to justify fleeing—when no actual RP supported that situation—is not permitted.
All actions must be grounded in your character’s roleplay, and fabricating scenarios to force outcomes is against server rules.
